(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Over a million Syrians on Wednesday morning thronged the streets of Damascus, declaring their support for Syria’s president Bashar Al-Assad, and loudly condemning US and foreign interference in Syria’s domestic affairs.
Hundreds of thousands of Syrian men and women carried Syrian flags, pictures of president Assad, Palestinian flags, and flags of the Islamic resistance movement Hezbollah, and they converged on central Damascus Omaviyeen Square.
The Syrian marchers loudly declared their support for the Palestinian cause, as well as the Islamic resistance movement and the Syrian government, headed by president Basher Al-Assad.
Tens of thousands of Syrian university students, school pupils, and prominent Syrian personalities from all walks of life participated in the protest march. The protesters chanted slogans against the Aljazeera and Al-Arabiya Television networks, for their one-sided coverage of events in Syria, and strongly condemned any sort of foreign interference in Syria’s internal affairs.
